Whether you want simplicity, light weight, want to train for souplesse or are simply a purist, a fixed gear bike or "fixie" can fit the bill for an in-town ride. Track dropouts and a high bottom bracket make this purpose-built frame more appopriate than a converted road frame. Fender (mudguard) and rack mounts can add a dash of practicality.
As on many fixies, this customer installed a front brake. The customer also requested cable stops on the top tube for the option to add a rear brake, as well. We strongly suggest that for the sake of safety, you include at least one hand brake in your build if you really want a fixie. We offer titanium flat and riser handlebars, as well as titanium mini-bullhorns.
